Ho Ho Ho Are you ready to start spreading the holiday cheer?

The holiday season is an exciting time in the office, as it’s when everyone gets together before heading off to enjoy their own cultural traditions and personal celebrations.

Easy entertainment options are the name of the game at Christmas, especially when it comes to streamlining office Christmas gatherings while creating maximum impact.

With the pace of the workplace picking up as we head into the end of the year, the holiday season calls for shopping smarter, not harder.

We asked Winc’s resident entertaining guru and gal about the kitchen, Belinda Richter, to share some easy entertaining ideas to take the stress out of the season’s silly entertaining.

“Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year. So the last thing you want is to add stress, more work or a workplace full of people enjoying themselves while you’re stuck in the office preparing the kitchen.
“I’ve put together some fun meal ideas that can be made ahead of time and pulled out when co-workers come down. And best of all, everything can be bought from Winc with the usual workplace supplies ordered and delivered straight away, the next business day*,” shared Belinda.

Christmas Spread #1: Chips & Dips with a twist.

“I challenge anyone to walk past a plate of Doritos and dip in and not make a crumb! This season, why not step up your spice sauce game and mix a few drops of Tabasco into the sauce to give it an extra kick,” suggested Belinda.

Keep the corn simple with Doritos Original Salted and choose a mild dip like Doritos Mild Salsa.

Christmas Spread #2: Savory Smorgasboard.

“Christmas is the best time to go overboard with a smorgasbord. Why choose one flavor of fries when you can choose seven? Think Cheezels, Grain Waves, Pretzels and more.

“And instead of just tossing the bag into a bowl and moving on to the next thing, why not pull out a festive silver plate, such as the Tomkin Chef Inox Rolled Edge oval plate and group the chips in clusters for added impact. Add some height to your tablescape by filling jars with savory snacks like Victoria Gardens Wasabi Peas, & Mix Mix Nuts & Peps Cracker Cracker snacks and Calbe Harvest Cracker Crackers and snacks recommended for the table. belinda

Candy Spread #3: Candy Grazing Board.

When it comes to the sweet part of the party, keep things easy and create a colorful cornucopia of chocolates and candies. Who can resist Allen’s Strawberries and Cream Lollies, Jaffas or Pineapple Lollies. Set out with a few small plates or intestines and a few pairs of stainless steel tongs so classmates can create their own pick-n-mix party dishes.

And when it’s time to bring out the tea, a carefully curated plate of cookies can be quite the show. Design your plate with Christmas colors in mind. Think: Arnott White Chocolate Tim Tam Biscuits, Vovos Raspberry Coconut Ice Creams and pink Centenars and Milers Biscuits. Add a few Cadbury Roses chocolates wrapped in green and gold paper to your plate to add a wow factor.

Remember to keep the dishes topped up during the party. Don’t want leftovers? Have cellophane or paper bags available for your classmates to put an assortment of candy or chips to take home.
